Another method to help students with learning is through interleaving. We all know that the best way to learn a skill is to practice it over and over again. Though repetition is important, studies show that combining practice with other skills helps us acquire that skill more efficiently.
When developing exercises for students, resist the need to make them repeat the same activity repeatedly. Instead, have them execute a couple of the new processes first, then introduce other skills to disrupt the repeated behavior and compel them to think more critically. Employ this method with students so that they can use it when they revise their lessons on their own.
This strategy requires students to push beyond mere retention of information and begin connecting the dots within the topic. Students should be able to ask themselves open-ended questions about the subject, respond in as much detail as possible, and then double-check their knowledge. This will help students learn and think out of the box.
Teachers might use this method by holding brief class discussions in which questions are discussed and then inviting students to incorporate elaboration into their personal study plans.

Learning is a never-ending process. There is no right or wrong way when it comes to learning. One must bear in mind that, that learning is not a “one size fits all” scenario.
